The campaign to establish a Charter Commission needs your help! A Charter Commission is an elected body of 9 individuals, who research and propose a charter to voters, including changes to the current structure that make government work better for everyone. A “charter" is a single document, like a local constitution, defining the structure, duties, and powers of our government - something Brookline does not have. Learn more and sign the petition to get the question of forming a Charter Commission on the Brookline ballot.

Study Buddy Tutoring (SBT) is a non-profit student-run tutoring organization for students of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels in the Greater Boston area. Our mission is to provide a free, high-quality learning experience to help students of all kinds. We look to support students with the difficulties brought by the pandemic, including the shortcomings of remote learning. We also aim to combat inequality in education by supporting disadvantaged students through tutoring and fundraising for local education charities.

8th to 9th grade transition event - student panel at 22 Tappan for 8th grade parents

On February 28, the BHS Innovation Fund is hosting a panel of BHS students for parents of 8th graders at the 22 Tappan Building. Complementary to previous transition events, this panel will be more about school culture, supports, and curricular pathways. Students from classes like Experiential Physics, which all 9th graders take, from various Career and Tech Ed pathways like Engineering by Design and Rethinking the Restaurant, and from programs like the African American and Latino Scholars and SELT (social emotional learning tutorial) support programs will answer questions about their classroom and school experience.
